It has specifically been designed for cutting all types of high tensile tubes with a high output and will perform at its best at tensile strengths between 1,000 – 1,500 N/mm2 at a wide range of demanding tube applications and steel grades. Typical products are drive shafts, twist beams, camshafts, suspensions and differentials.

Cutting multiple low tensile tubes on high performance sawing machines

 

With a new carbide grade, PVD coating, body design and tooth geometry to improve chip flow, the Champion TL saw blade series embodies our latest innovations for high performance TCT tube cutting.

A dedicated Champion TL Multi saw blade has been developed for multiple tube cutting with a tensile strength of 400 – 800 N/mm2. This blade type is specifically suited for Rattunde Twin machines but also for other applications where multiple tubes are being cut, such as the BEWO, RSA, Soco and Sinico machines.

Applications:

  • Cutting multiple steel tubes at once with a tensile strength of 400 – 800 N/mm2
  • Suggested cutting speed: 180 – 290 m/min.

Cutting low tensile tubes on high performance sawing machines

 

With a new carbide grade, PVD coating, body design and tooth geometry to improve chip flow, the Champion TL saw blade series embodies our latest innovations for high performance TCT tube cutting.

The Champion TL saw blade has been designed to cut tubes with tensile up to 850 N/mm2 on high output / high quality stationary sawing machines.

Due to a new carbide grade, a new PVD coating to obtain a very smooth surface finish and a new tooth geometry and body design for better chip evacuation, this Champion saw blade has an improved blade life of typically 50% and more compared to CX 3.

Applications:

  • Cutting steel tubes with a tensile strength up to 850 N/mm2
  • Suggested cutting speed: 180 – 280 m/min.
  • Tooth load: 0.04 – 0.24 mm/tooth
  • Machines: stationary high output / heavy duty sawing machines like Rattunde, Soco, Sinico, Bewo, RSA, Adige, Tsune

The top performer on hard steel tubes

 

Champion TH is part of a new generation of saw blades – for extremely high output and very long blade life.

This product has been developed to cut thin walled tubes with tensile strengths up to 1,800 N/mm2.

Advantages:

The Champion TH saw blade can cope with the following 3 extreme cutting conditions:

  • Cutting tubes with tensile strengths up to 1,800 N/mm2
  • Cutting speeds up to 350 m/min
  • Very high feed rates

Applications:

  • High performance cutting of thin and medium wall drawn tubes and high tensile tubes on high-end cut-off machines
  • Cutting speed: 200 – 350 m/min.

Ideal for cutting steel tubes on high performance automatic sawing machines

 

The CX 3 saw blade has been developed for cutting tubes on high performance automatic sawing machines, at a higher maximum cutting speed than with HSS saw blades.

It is most effective on sawing machines with accurate control of chip load and variable feed rate.

Applications:

  • Cutting steel tubes with a tensile strength between 600 – 1500 N/mm2
  • Suggested cutting speed: 180 – 280 m/min
  • Feed: 0,04 – 0,16 mm/tooth.
  • Machines: Rattunde, Soco, Sinico, Bewo, RSA, Plantool, Adige, OMP

Note: Respect 10% fill ratio, be aware of tube vibration when cutting less stable products (use form jaws), try to select one saw blade (tooth count) to cut all products.

Perfect surface finish and burr-free tube ends cutting austenitic stainless steel tubes

 

The high nickel content of austenitic stainless steel tubes makes them difficult to cut with HSS saw blades.

With the dedicated tooth geometry of the carbide tipped and PVD coated CX 4 saw blade, perfect surface finish and burr-free tube ends will be achieved.

Applications:

  • High performance cutting of stainless steel tube (austenitic, ferritic)
  • Suggested cutting speed: 80 – 140 m/min
  • Feed: 0,06 – 0,12 mm/tooth
  • Machines: Rattunde, Soco, Bewo, RSA, Sinico

Note: Respect 10% fill ratio, use wire brush. Be aware of tube vibration when cutting less stable products (use form jaws). Choice of cutting oil is critial to achieve high blade life (Castrol B30 or B335 suggested). Positive geometry, carefull handling of saw blade to prevent tooth damage.

High performance cutting of high hardness tubes on less stable machines

 

The CX 5 saw blade has been specifically designed to cut thin walled tubes.

Because of its light cutting properties it is also very well suited for use on a wide range of automatic cut-off machines.

Applications:

  • Thin walled high hardness tube cutting on lighter machines.
  • Cutting less stable, high hardness hollow sections on high performance machines
  • Suggested cutting speed: 160 – 280 m/min.
  • Tooth load:  0,025 – 0,12 mm/tooth
  • Machines: Kasto, Bewo, RSA, Adige, Soco, Sinico, Rattunde
